Become a Speaker

The goal of TEDxWilsonPark is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and provoke conversations that matter.

If selected, your talk would be filmed and an edit hosted on the TEDx YouTube channel. Just as with all speakers, it is imperative and required that, if chosen, we work together ahead of time to craft the talk. Your talk will be no more than 12 minutes in length, on any topic you're interested in or known for.

When applying, consider: Why are you the most qualified person in the world to speak on this subject? Anyone can speak on mental health, overcoming abuse, etc. What sets you apart in your subject matter and why should you be the one to take the stage?

TEDx talks are about ideas. In one sentence, summarize your idea.

How does your idea connect to the world/our area? Why is it important?

Why are YOU speaking on this subject? What qualifies you to speak on this subject? We want to know your credentials and direct experiences around the subject you would like to share on stage. I understand that TEDx speakers are not paid for their talks, are not compensated for any expenses getting to the conference, and the talks must strictly adhere to the TEDx guidelines. If you are selected for a phone interview, you will be contacted by email before May 10, 2025.

A successful TED or TEDx talk requires not only a great idea, but a great deal of hard work. If selected, you will be required to edit and revise your talk, to commit your presentation to memory, and to meet regularly with a TEDx Wilson Park speaker coach.
